Mrs. Krystal and Mrs. Campbellâs first graders loved being artists today!



Mrs. Krystal and Mrs. Campbellâs 1st graders worked together as engineers to design and test a boat made of foil. Their goal was to get the boat to float and hold weight! They had a blast building these!

As part of the Attendance Matters campaign, for the period of Aug 15-31, PBES students ranked tied for second in the parish for daily attendance with 97.04%. As a reward, tomorrow will be a free jean, boot, and hat day. Students may wear jeans that do not have holes/rips in them that show the skin underneath. Students may not wear blue jean shorts. Thank you to all stakeholders in ensuring that your students attend school daily.


PBES Reminder: Kona Ice will be on campus tomorrow. The smallest cup size is $3.00. Prices range from $3-$6.


In observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 5, 2022, all schools and administrative offices will be closed. We hope you have a safe and restful holiday weekend!


SLP Leader in Me Coaches participated in professional development today with Becky Kreamer of United Way of Acadiana, Jan McCartan of Franklin Covey, and other Leader in Me coaches throughout the Acadiana region. It was a great opportunity to connect with each other.

Bus 24 - John Gillen - will not be running tomorrow morning. He will be getting another bus tomorrow and will have to do two routes. If you live inside Port Barre, he will drop those students off first in the afternoon. Then he will come back to school to get the students that live outside city limits. There may be a minimal time difference in the afternoon drop times.

PBES: John Gillen - Bus 24 (248) - will not be running until further notice. All students who ride this bus will need to be picked up today. Thank you.
