PBES: Our school is informing all parents that some individuals were diagnosed with COVID-19 yesterday afternoon and these individuals were on school premises and did have direct exposure with select students who have been identified and parental contact has been made. We have not identified anyone else as `close contacts` with these individuals. Close contacts would be someone within 3 ft for at least 15 minutes or more with the infected person. We are taking all of the proper protocols and sanitizing throughout the day. Parents should continue to monitor their child`s health and the health of their families for COVID 19 symptoms. Children with COVID 19 generally have mild, cold like symptoms. If your child is exhibiting two or more symptoms, please get them evaluated by a health care professional prior to sending them to school. Please remind your child that masks are to be worn on school campus and on the bus. We appreciate your help!

PBES Learning Beyond the Bell after school program return date has been pushed back to TUESDAY, JANUARY 18th. Please make sure that your child knows that they will not be staying after school this week (January 4-7) or next week (January 10-14).

PBES: With temperatures starting to warm up, students should be in regular uniforms tomorrow with school appropriate jackets. This Friday will be the next free jeans/sweatpants day.

With the cold temperatures that will occur overnight, students may wear jeans/sweatpants with a uniform/spirit shirt to school tomorrow. Please bundle those babies up good. We canât wait to see all of our Lil Red Hots!

Students return to school Tuesday, January 4th. Please make sure they bring a water bottle. We do have two water filling stations. Bundle those babies up Tuesday morning and we will see all of our Lil Red Hots soon!
Learning Beyond the Bell will resume on January 10, 2022.
A mask mandate will be in place beginning Jan 3, 2022 for all staff, students, and visitors until further notice.

If you haven't signed up for weekly onsite COVID testing, it is not too late. Testing is conducted every Wednesday at PBES by a team of healthcare professionals using a non-evasive nose swab. Results are sent via text/email within 12-24 hours. In order for your child to participate in testing, youâll need to register them for the program. If you have previously registered, you do not need to register again.
Click here to register your child for the program. This link if for PBES students only.

A parent or guardian must register any minor under 18 years old. Youâll give a one-time consent and HIPAA authorization to share their results with the school and district. Testing is not required, but highly encouraged to keep our school community safe.

PBES: Beginning January 3, 2022, all staff, students, and visitors to St. Landry Parish schools and its facilities will be required to wear a mask while on campus. Faculty and staff return on Monday, Jan. 3. Students return Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Congratulations to Charley E., winner of the âBasket full of Prizesâ drawing. Thank you again to all who participated in our fundraiser.

Bus 528 will be running late for dismissal today. We dismiss at noon; however, Mr Doucet just notified us he will not be able to get here until 12:30. If you would like to pick up your child, you may line up in the car rider line. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
