All PBES students will be issued ID badges this school year. The ID will be clipped on to the student's uniform shirt. Pictures may be taken during Meet and Greet. Please have your student dress in uniform shirt if they wish to take their picture. All remaining students will have their picture taken during staggered entry days. Replacement badges will cost $5.00 and additional clips will cost $1.00 each,

PreK students will not attend school on August 18-20. Parents will attend orientation at their assigned time on Wednesday, Aug, 18. Please refer to your acceptance letter for times. PreK students will begin school on August 23.

Please visit the PBES spirit shop store to purchase spirit wear for the 2021-2022 school year. All 2021-2022 spirit shirts may be worn during the school week. The spirit shop will close on Wednesday, August 25. Orders will be prepared and sent to school 14 days after the store closes. Students may wear last year's spirit shirts until these come in. Uniform shirts for those new to school are red, white, or navy polo shirts.

School starts next week! We will have a staggered entry on Wednesday and Thursday. All students that have an even home address (addresses that end in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8) will attend on Wednesday, August 18th. All students that have an odd home address (addresses that end in 1. 3, 5, 7, 9) will attend on Thursday, August 19th. ALL students will attend on Friday, August 20th. Please note that face masks must be worn by all students on campus and on the bus.

ALL ST. LANDRY PARISH PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO DISMISS EARLY TODAY

OPELOUSAS, LA -- Due to forecasted precipitation causing possible hazardous road conditions and widespread flooding parish-wide, all schools and head start centers will dismiss early today, May 18, 2021. The overall safety of our students and employees necessitates the early dismissal of schools.
Dismissal times are as follows:
SLATS/Alternative - 1:30 PM;
MACA/BioMed - 1:40 PM;
High School/Junior High - 2:00 PM;
Head Start - 2:00 PM;
North Central/Palmetto - 2:00 PM;
Elementary/Middle Schools - 2:20 PM - 2:40 PM (This is dependent on bus arrival from first routes.);
*Car riders should contact the school for pick-up times.
We will continue to consult with school administrators, the National Weather Service, and the Office of Emergency Preparedness in the decision-making progress regarding the closing of schools.
